Internet Dating and Other Methods of Personal Torture

Was out with some ladies for a movie and dinner tonight and they were asking me if I would recommend online dating. Umm, no.

Jen's 3 Notable Online Dating Disasters:

1) Single dad, 14 kids...ok wait not that many - 5...5 that made the noise and chaos of 14. Stupid relationship...short lived...he dumped me b/c I was so angry. (This still amuses me 15+ yrs later)

2) Alcoholic psycho that was not as smart as he thought he was...I ended up dumping him...then had to change my number and involve the police. Awesome.

3) Closet alcoholic, his kind nature was erased by his inability to communicate or be honest.

#3 was 3.5 yrs ago and I have felt ZERO inclination to speak to a man since, let alone anything else. No lie. It was like I hot my bullshit limit for my lifetime. I am certain all the of them would have equally bad opinions of me...but I don't really care.

Saw GONE GIRL....great flick. I haven't read the book but the movie sure seemed good...I wonder if book readers would agree...?

Tomorrow I am forcing myself to hook up 2 PCs that I am fixing for a local community center...I am sure that will be another afternoon of torture much like internet dating...I really have not kept up with the tech world since I got out of school (network admin) and my brain is swiss cheese now anyway so...

Survived the 44th birthday okay....weird day...broke 2 glasses, busted a glass jug full of water on the floor while I stood there in bare feet and shards of glass everywhere, some asshole person Googled my name and called me at home on my day off on my effing b'day to ask me questions rather than my work #, got a funny prank call from Regan, etc....amazing birthday loot this year too: movie gift cards, gnome S&P shakers, acorn S&P shakers, ice maker, cash, flowers, cast iron wiener dog, scratch tickets, chocolate, an inflatable unicorn horn for the cat, cat socks, book, etc. Ridiculous for a 44 yr old...embarrassing and completely appreciated. Kim came over, we swan, ate frozen pizza and watched Survivor...Kate stopped in and helped us put the unicorn horn on the cat...ha ha ha The special messages from people are my favorite...the little I love you's and such...I generally detest mush but email/text/FB mush I love from my loved ones... haha Looking fwd to A's stoner craft she mailed me that her and James made in Australia...
LOVE THIS ICE MAKER MACHINE!
