Chatting...

I do 9 of these....oops.

I bitch about my kid being a slob a lot but man, I really enjoy our chats sometimes...she is very open to hearing my spiel about things on certain topics...tonight she was razzing me about not having a life...I work and the end. Not a lot of other extracurricular activities going on...so I mentioned something about my lack of coping skills where stress is concerned so I try to keep my life pretty chill b/c I know that I just don't deal well when things are busy and such.

This chat turned into me explaining what coping skills are...to her, she has a pretty healthy coping skills and a laid back personality to match it so when she is very busy and things are hectic she doesn't fall apart. She has youth on her side as well. I compared where hers are (up high) to mine (not super low but not high either)...she got it. Nice moments. I like how she will hear me out during these chats, making an effort to understand something she is not familiar with as part of her life experience. This is really great and will surely serve her very well as she gets older and has more life experience. Poor girl with her emotionally inept mother and all her neurosis's....so many things to learn about why mommy is so weird. haha

She still wont take out the damn garbage though...shes "scared" of the parkade...she will travel to the bungholes of SE Asia ALONE without batting an eye but is scared of the creepy parkade dumpster....Pffft.
